IN BRIEF
Robert Morris University, founded in 1921, is one of the leading universities in the Pittsburgh region and is among the largest private institutions of higher learning in Pennsylvania. Its 230-acre Moon Township campus, located in suburban Pittsburgh, is home to more than 2,500 commuter students and 1,000 residential students. Robert Morris University has built its reputation by offering strong academic programs in fields such as business, accounting, finance, communications engineering, elementary education, visual communications, economics, nursing, marketing, and management. The University now offers more than 30 undergraduate degree programs, many of which offer multiple specialization. RMU is a teaching-centered institution, boasting small classes and taught exclusively by faculty members.

ACTIVITIES
Dozens of clubs and organizations help students develop leadership and management skills, network professionally and meet new friends. Student activities include intramural sports, fraternities and sororities, professional clubs, and community service projects. The Campus Activities Board organizes dances, parties, movie screenings, comedy acts, health and wellness fairs, educational programs, and day trips. Business organizations, professional clubs, and honor societies provide students with career preparation opportunities. RMU students also get involved in the community, organizing Habitat for Humanity projects, coordinating blood drives, collecting food donations, and organizing holiday parties for needy youngsters.

SPORTS
RMU has 18 intercollegiate men's and women's sports teams. All teams compete in the Northeast Conference with an NCAA Division I affiliation, with the exception of the football team which competes in Division I-AA. Club sports include, men's crew, ice hockey, and volleyball. The campus athletic facilities include the 3,056-seat Sewall Center Arena and a Student Center outfitted with a health club, racquetball courts, and a game room. The campus also has tennis courts, basketball courts, a softball diamond, soccer fields, and a cross country trail.

PROGRAMS OF STUDY
The University offers more than 30 majors, leading to an undergraduate degree, plus master's and doctoral programs. Four-year bachelor degree programs include: BACHELOR OF ARTS (Applied Mathematics, Communication, Economics, English, Secondary Education, Social Science, Visual Communications), BACHELOR OF SCIENCE (Actuarial Science, Applied Mathematics, Economics, Elementary Education, Hospitality Administration, Information Sciences, Information Systems Management, Logistics Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Nursing, Secondary Education, Social Science, Software Engineering, Social Science, Software Engineering, Tourism Administration), BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (Accounting, Economics, Finance, Finance/Economics, Health Services Management, Hospitality Management, Human Resource Management, Logistics Management, Management, Marketing, Sport Management, and Tourism Management).

Robert Morris University offers 14 graduate degree programs including: THE MASTER OF SCIENCE (M.S) in Accounting, Business Education, Communications and Iinformation Systems, Engineering Management, Finance, Information Systems Management, Instructional Leadership, Internet Information Systems, Nonprofit Management, Nursing, Sport Management and Taxation; THE MASTER OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (M.B.A); and THE DOCTOR OF SCIENCE (D.Sc) in Information Systems and Communications.

VISIT INFORMATION
One-on-One Interviews are available on Campus weekdays and select Saturdays by appointment. Informal get-togethers for you and your parents are scheduled throughout the fall and spring semesters. Open Houses are scheduled in the fall and spring. At these informal programs, you can meet with faculty and students, attend a financial aid workshop, and take a walking tour of the campus. Fall dates include a complimentary ticket to a Colonials football game.

DIRECTIONS TO CAMPUS

From the North
Follow Interstate 79 south to Exit 19, Sewickley/Emsworth. Follow Route 65 toward Sewickley. At the third traffic light, turn left and cross the Sewickley Bridge. Turn right and follow the Orange Belt for 1.5 miles to the second traffic light. The University entrance is on the left.

From the South
Take I-79 north to the Airport-Route 22/30 West Exit. Follow Route 22/30 to Route 60 north. Take Exit 3, Business Route 60, and go three miles to the second light. Turn right on Beers School Road and follow 1.5 miles to the third light. Turn right into RMU.

From the East
Follow the Pennsylvania Turnpike or Interstate 80 to Interstate 79 southbound. Continue by following directions from the north. From the West Follow the Pennsylvania Turnpike to Exit 1-A. Follow Route 60 South (50-cent toll) for 24 miles to Exit 8, 60 Business-Moon (there is an RMU sign at this exit). Proceed four miles; turn left onto Beers School Road; it is approximately 1.5 miles to the University entrance on right.

From Monroeville
Take Route 376 to downtown Pittsburgh and follow signs to Fort Pitt Bridge. Proceed across Fort Pitt Bridge into Fort Pitt Tunnels and onto 279 West. Continue by following directions from downtown Pittsburgh. From Downtown Pittsburgh Take 279 West toward Pittsburgh International Airport. You will proceed on Route 22/30 West which will become Route 60. Proceed to Exit 3, Business Route 60. Turn right at the second traffic light which is a major intersection at Beers School Road. Follow Beers School Road to third traffic light, approximately 1.5 miles. The University entrance is on the right.

From Pittsburgh International Airport
Airport Exit to Route 60 North (Moon-Beaver). Follow to Exit 8 (Business 60, Flaugherty/Moon). After stop sign, make a second right turn onto Business 60 South (Moon). Follow for two miles, making a left turn at the third traffic light onto Beers School Road. Follow Beers School Road to third traffic light, approximately 1.5 miles. The University entrance is on the right.
