IN BRIEF
Geneva College is a Christian college of the arts, sciences and
professional studies for traditional, adult and graduate students.
Founded in 1848, Geneva is a member of the Council for Christian
Colleges & Universities and is located in Beaver Falls, Pa.
The mission of Geneva College is to glorify God by educating and
ministering to a diverse community of students for the purpose of
developing servant-leaders, transforming society for the kingdom
of Christ. Geneva’s 55-acre campus is situated in the foothills
of the Allegheny Mountains, only 35 miles from downtown Pittsburgh.
Residence Life
Geneva College is a residential campus and housing is available
and required for traditional undergraduate students unless they
are commuting from their parents home. There are eight main residence
buildings. Each building features Internet connection through either
dial-up or high speed connections, phone service, keyless entry
for each room, laundry facilities, 24-hour card-access security
system, stackable room furniture, desks, shelves, dressers and closets,
and lounges with cable TV. Each residence hall has a live-in resident
director and several resident assistants.
ACTIVITIES
As a Christian institution, Geneva endeavors to create opportunities
for fellowship that can be beneficial for personal growth. In creating
these opportunities, students are given the chance to pursue personal
interests, broaden horizons and develop friendships. Student leaders
and various clubs, organizations and ministries can serve others
through activity planning. Among the many varieties of clubs and
activities, students will find things such as the Drama Club, Ice
Hockey Club, Residence Hall Councils, Ski Club, Business and Economics
Club, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Fellowship of Christian Athletes,
music groups, prayer/praise groups, mystery bus trips, plays, student
newspaper, yearbook, on-campus radio station, marching band, and
much more.
SPORTS
Geneva competes in the National Christian College Athletic Association
(NCCAA) and the American Mideast Conference, the largest conference
in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA).
Our football program competes in the tough Mid-States Football Association.
Year in and year out, the Golden Tornadoes have focused on excellence,
and the accomplishments speak for themselves. Conference titles,
trips to the NCCAA and NAIA National Tournaments and to the NCCAA
National Championships are just a few of the accomplishments reached
by our athletic programs in the past few years. Varsity sports include
football, baseball, basketball, soccer, cross country, track/field,
softball and volleyball.
PROGRAMS OF STUDY
Offering 30 majors, Geneva is fully accredited, and courses are
taught by faculty members who provide a personally challenging and
supportive academic environment.
Majors include: Accounting, Applied Math, Biblical Languages, Biblical
Studies, Biology, Business Administration, Chemical Engineering,
Chemistry, Christian Ministries, Communication, Communication Disorders,
Computer Science, Elementary Education/Special Education, Engineering,
English, History, Human Services, Independent Major, Math Education,
Music, Music Business, Music Education, Music Performance, Philosophy,
Physics, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, Writing, and
Youth Ministry.
VISIT
INFORMATION
Campus visits are welcome any weekday throughout the year –
especially when classes are in session. If interested, students
may meet with faculty, visit a class, stay overnight in the residence
hall, and eat in the dining hall. A Student Host will be glad to
give you a campus tour, introduce you to friends and show you what
life at Geneva is really like. And you'll have the opportunity to
meet with an Admissions Counselor, Financial Aid Counselor or attend
some of the many campus activities.
Tours are available by appointment from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.,
Monday through Friday throughout the school year. Weekday visits
are also available during June, July and August.The college requests
that you schedule appointments at least one week in advance, if
possible, so they can set up a day that will fully meet your interests.

OPEN HOUSE
Open house visitation events are scheduled during both semesters.
DIRECTIONS TO
CAMPUS
Pittsburgh, PA is situated between New York and Chicago -- within
a day's drive of more than 70 percent of the U.S. population. Find
the major route from which you will be arriving for detailed directions
to Geneva's campus.
From the PA Turnpike
(Westbound):
Take exit #13 (Beaver Falls). Follow Route 18 South (toward Beaver
Falls) about 3 miles to the college. At second traffic light (Sheetz
convenient store/gas station on right) continue straight. Make the
second left past Sheetz onto 35th Street. At stop sign, turn right
onto College Avenue. At the next stop sign continue straight. Alexander
Hall, which houses the Admissions Office, is the last building on
the right.
From Interstate 80 in PA (Eastbound - from
Ohio):
Take exit 1A. Follow Toll 60 south to exit #29 (Chippewa). Turn
right onto Route 51 north. At the next intersection, turn right
onto Shenago Road (Rt.168). Go through one traffic light, at stop
sign, turn right onto Rt. 251(Oakville Road) follow 1.5-2 miles,
road will bear sharply to the right (becomes 37th street). Follow
all the way to Rt. 18. Turn right at traffic light onto Rt. 18 (Sheetz
convenient store/gas station on right), make second left onto 35th
St. At stop sign, turn right onto College Avenue. At the next stop
sign continue straight. Alexander Hall, which houses the Admissions
Office, is the last building on the right.
Southbound on I-79 in PA (Westbound):
Take Exit #25 (Mars-Cranberry). Turn right off exit ramp. Turn left
at light onto Route 19 South. Get in right hand lane to enter the
PA turnpike (I-76). Take turnpike west (toward Ohio) to Exit #13
(Beaver Falls). From here, follow directions listed above
from the PA turnpike.
Northbound on I-79 in PA (Westbound):
Take Exit #25 (a left lane exit) and merge onto Route 19 North.
Proceed through one light and enter the PA Turnpike (I-76). Take
the Turnpike west (toward Ohio) to Exit #13 (Beaver Falls). From
here, follow directions listed above from the
PA Turnpike.
From Downtown Pittsburgh:
Take Route 65 North (Ohio River Boulevard). Follow signs for Route
18 North into Beaver Falls. Proceed through downtown Beaver Falls
and up to College Hill, where you can drive straight onto College
Avenue. Alexander Hall, which houses the Admissions Office, will
be the first building on the left on College Avenue.
OR
Take the Parkway West toward the Pittsburgh International Airport
and continue on Route 60 North. Take Exit #29 (Chippewa). Turn left
at light onto Route 51 North. At the fifth light (Burger King),
turn right. Go through stop light, and at stop sign, turn right
onto Route 251 East. Continue on 251 East for 2½ miles, and
turn right at light (by Sheetz) onto Route 18 South. Take the second
left onto 35th Street. Turn right at the stop sign onto College
Avenue. Continue straight at the next stop sign. Alexander Hall,
which houses the Admissions Office, is the last building on the
right.
